I'm catching up on my Popcorn Zen and found this little gem by Grace Lee starring Sandra Oh and Suzy Nakamura. What caught my eye about this film was a little photo in the beginning of Sandra and her ex-boyfriend in the film "Jerry." Jerry looked a lot like Beau Sia. I'm not too sure, but I left a note for Beau anyway.
Anyway, this film is actually quite good. Both Sandra and Suzy give some knock out performances. Actually heading to the Grace Lee site, I found that her self-titled film will be showing in LA when I'll be down there visiting my family. I may be all Asian Film Festival'd-out by that time, but I think I can make room for a flick by this thorouglhy creative Asian American woman.
If you wanna see the flick and perhaps get a drink after with me and Hongyun (and probably a few friends), let me know. I know that Grace lives in LA so maybe she'll be there as well! I'm planning on attending Friday or Saturday night so hope to see everyone out there supporting Asian American film!
