Michael Cho at Berkeley

While William Hung did a number on the image of Asians everywhere (especially at UC Berkeley), Michael Cho is fighting back (a little). Last night, Hongyun and I went over to campus for the Cal Chinese Student and Scholars Association's Moon Festival. The food was terrible but the show was actually half way decent (if not an hour or two way too long). There was a mini Mooncake Festival Idol sort of thing and to my absolute surprise some of the singers were actually pretty good like Michael Cho:

Don't get me wrong...it's not that I don't think Asians have singing talent. It's just that in the past I have been scarred by many half baked festival "performances" at various stages in my life. I used to play the drums in a band that would always play at the Wat Thai of Los Angeles festivals and man there was messed up signing there. And don't forget our boy William (I'm Rich Beotch) Hung. But Michael's performance was actually very good and he's got a bit of musical talent along with rocking the electrical engineering classes.

Anyway, I caught up with Michael a bit later on youtube and he seems to be like a really nice guy. Click the above vid to get to see more of his work
