Peta Too Hot for Superbowl

Brian over at Peta dropped me a line to get the word out on their Super Bowl advertisement that the Super Bowl folks just couldn't handle. It starts out pretty funny, but gets serious (and gross) quick. Don't loose your lunch!

Ok, dude... I thought we were doing FUNNY videos here... Not serious shit..
Anyway, I SO hate PETA. These people are truly sick. There's a reason why things are done the way they are. If they're so against the cow industry, then do us all a favor and just become a vegetarian or better yet, a vegan. There is a lot of nurishment that people get from meat and cow's milk. Sure, you can get it elsewhere, but these are some of the easiest ways to get it.
And over they course of history, as we domesticated animals, we enhanced certain attributes to serve us. Without humans, cows would be quite helpless in a wild setting. Imagine the slaughter of animals then. That would also lead to a boom in their predators who'd decimate the cow population. Once the cows were more or less destroyed, then their predators would starve.
The point is that there is a natural balance to things and humans have changed the natural balance to suit our needs better. Had we not gone and changed things, we'd still live like cavemen.
The point is that there are reasons we've chosen to change out environment and the living environment of other animals along with us and that is for the progress and benefit of ourselves and our offspring.
If you dislike the way cows, chickens, and pigs are being treated here in the civilized world, then I suggest you move to sub-Saharan Africa where there is little civilization as we know it. You can work yourself and gather berries and nuts. You yourself can fight off predators and shun the advancements of modern medicine. If you enjoy shopping in the supermarket or Trader Joe's, as all you yuppies do, then maybe you should take a drink a nice tall glass of shut-up juice. I will contend that cattle farmers are doing what they can to ensure the well being of their animals as best they can yet still make a profit.
And if they didn't kill the lame milk cows when after they're done with them and make them into meat for the rest of us, then precisely what would you have them do? Put Milk Cows in a retirement home where they can lay around struggling to eat? No, I think that after their years of production are done, then slaughter IS the most humane thing. Otherwise, it's just purely wasteful.
So... PETA members and environmentalists. A few things I'd request from you guys. If you're gonna complain, do so after leading by example. Show me and the rest of the world that you can truly live in harmony with nature without killing anything or disrupting the environment at all. Forgo modern advancements. Give up all forms of meat. Harvest only what grows naturally and do not cultivate plants because that disrupts the environment, too. Kill no insects or pests. Show the world that you can live in an entirely waste free, environmentally friendly way that is nondisruptive to the plants and animals in your area. Show us that you live as long, thrive as well, and advance as quickly as the rest of us do.
I guarantee that you will forgo the comforts of modern living and live in squalor. I seriously doubt it can be done for even the Native Americans slaughtered Buffalo with spears and arrows. Many were driven from cliffs to die from internal injuries.
I contend that we here in the Western World have grown so far removed from what happens in our world that we take a lot for granted. When confronted with the realities of how to make ends meet without the industrial infrastructure in place today, we quickly see that things are pretty damn good regardless of how bad it might seem from an outsider's perspective.
If you truly want something to complain about, complain about the injustices against humanity going on today around the rest of the world. If you must complain about the environment talk to the third world countries who pollute far worse than the U.S. or any first world nation. Start there. Make the world better there and then talk to us about how we can better ourselves.
